The Maker
I have always been fascinated by folklore, superstitions, and the stories that have been passed down through generations. Growing up, I spent hours reading folklore legends, Grimm's fairy tales, Russian folktales, and other mysterious stories from around the world. I loved not only discovering these worlds, but also creating my own stories and imagining the hidden histories behind characters, creatures, and places. Halloween has always been my favorite holiday, so when I decided to create a Halloween-inspired mahjong set, I knew I wanted it to be something more than a collection of spooky designs.
I wanted to create a set that told the tale of a mysterious witch and the secrets surrounding her, seen through the eyes of mahjong players who slowly uncover the pieces of her story. I never imagined that anyone would connect with these tiles or become interested in the world I created around them. Seeing the excitement, kindness, and support from this community has been truly overwhelming. Every comment, message, email, and word of encouragement has meant so much to me.
This is only the beginning of the journey. I have so many ideas waiting to come to life, and I look forward to exploring new themes, experimenting with different stories, and creating collections inspired by imagination, curiosity, and the worlds that exist beyond the ordinary.
